Hi, I'm Stephanie! Stephanie B a.k.a SB. Nice to meet ya!
Here's a little get-to-know me. I created SB Jewelry in 2020, with the goal of curating & creating modern gold-plated jewelry. For as long as I can remember, I always used to try on my mom's clothes and jewelry and have my own fashion shows. I loved trying on her jewelry and layering her necklaces, bracelets, and rings. It gave me an insane amount of confidence as a child.
In the midst of the pandemic and with the insane amount of free time, I discovered a new hobby, jewelry making. At the time, I was still trying to figure out what I enjoyed doing with my free time. I truly enjoyed creating something new that I couldn't just buy at a local department store.
The whole process of jewelry making from buying & choosing pendants, chains, jump rings, lobster clasps, and pearls to actually making them was one that I was glad I took a chance on. Then being able to have pop-up shops and opening an online shop has taken this dream to a whole other level.
Like the great Diane Von Furstenberg said, “Jewelry is like the perfect spice - it always complements what’s already there.”
And like any girl, one of my favorite things to do is going to the mall! And the hardest part about shopping for me? Finding accessories! I always spend more time looking for that perfect necklace or earring than I do for clothes.
One of the most frustrating things about buying jewelry from department stores is that most pieces are made out of Zinc Alloy & copper. These pieces will not last long at all and will fade into a rust/ brown color.
So I decided to create my own brand of high-quality jewelry that encourages women to channel their inner IT girl/ bad b*tch, whichever you prefer.
And so, SB Jewelry was hatched on a late summer night. Meet a modern jewelry brand where being that girl is a jewelry piece away.
